Documentation
PyRasp is a Raspberry Pi simulator that runs in your browser: you buy parts, wire them in Python, and run your program against a simulated board. Every day it hosts a new objective, and everything else — practice tasks, the sandbox, community builds and Lab mode — is there to help you solve it.
Start here
New to PyRasp? Read these in order:
- What PyRasp is — the contest, practice, the sandbox, community and Lab mode.
- Your first circuit — an LED on GPIO17, from an empty workspace to a blinking light.
- Workspace tour — the Task, Shop, Guide and Results tabs, the editors, the board and the console.
- How a run works —
circuit.pybuilds the board, thenmain.pyruns. - The campaign — 48 levels in eight chapters, with stars to earn: the best place to start.
- Building it on a real Pi — export your code, a wiring sheet and a schematic.
- The daily contest — how a day is timed, scored and ranked.
- Lab mode — the full drag-and-drop simulator in the Lab tab.
- Every shop part — one page per part, with pins and examples.
Going deeper
The reference pages sit next to the guides:
- The wiring library —
>>chains, pin names, modules and kits. - Programming the Pi — gpiozero, RPi.GPIO, I²C, SPI and the rest.
- Glossary — GPIO, pull-up, PWM, I²C and friends.
