PyRasp is free for hobbyists and individuals, and teachers and educators pay for classroom mode.

Free: hobbyists and individuals

If you're learning on your own, tinkering, or building something for yourself, all of PyRasp is free to use: the daily challenge, every practice problem, the sandbox, Lab mode, custom components, the community and export to a real Pi. There's no time limit and no card to enter.

Paid: teachers and educators

Classroom mode lets you run PyRasp with a class. You get:

• classes your students join with a code,
• class accounts for students who don't have an email,
• assignments with due dates,
• hand-ins judged automatically,
• a gradebook you can export.

How it's priced:

• 30-day free trial. It starts when you make your first class. No card needed.
• $99 per teacher per semester (six months), with unlimited students.
• Nothing is deleted when a licence ends. Your classes go read-only and students can still open their work. Assignments, hand-ins and the gradebook come back as soon as you renew.
