Posting a build

The community feed is where makers show off what they built: a title, a Markdown write-up, and the two files behind it. Sharing is how a clever circuit travels.

Sharing a build

Build something in the sandbox or open a practice objective, then press Share. The dialog asks for:

  • Title — required, up to 120 characters.
  • What did you build? — a Markdown body (up to 5000 characters) with anything you want to say: how it works, what went wrong, what you would change. Headings, lists, links and code all render.

The post carries your circuit.py and main.py, and the cost your workspace computed for the build, if it has one. Sharing from a practice objective tags the post with that objective.

Posting puts you on the post's page, where readers can like, comment, and press Open in sandbox to fork your files into their own workspace.

Likes and comments

  • Likes are one per person: press ♥ to like a build, press it again to remove your like.
  • Comments are Markdown too (up to 2000 characters). Anyone signed in can comment.

Deleting

  • Your post: press Delete on the post page. Only the author can delete the post, and only the author sees the button.
  • A comment: delete your own comment from the post. The post's author can also delete any comment on their post — both cases show a small "delete" next to the comment.

What can't be posted

Naming the current day's objective in a post. The server refuses it with "Share today's solution after the day ends", so nobody can spoil the live contest. Once the day ends, the objective is in the practice archive and posting about it is welcome. See the daily contest.

Going deeper

  • The feed previews the first 280 characters of the body, then loads 20 posts at a time behind Show more.
  • The cost on a post is shown as-is, as the author's workspace computed it. It is not judged and not ranked; only the contest tries builds against the budget. Past solutions are a separate, verified thing — see past solutions.
  • Like and comment counts update as you interact, and the feed shows both at a glance.
